PROBONO CONSULTING FOR COMMUNITY IMPACT

The COVID-19 Pandemic is taking the heaviest toll on the most vulnerable communities. We’ve been honored to help by providing probono consulting to Nonprofit organizations directly supporting underserved communities in Richmond and Northern Virginia.

RX Partnership

In 2020, RX Partnership, a nonprofit established to increase access to affordable generic medications, sought to improve their internal data efforts, onboarding processes, and leadership oversight. To assist, Impact Makers consultants held discovery interviews to help guide the creation of a new data strategy, helped in the creation of new job postings and employee handbooks, and provided guidance on how to increase diversity and inclusiveness to the board of directors.

IT4Causes

IT4Causes provides stable, secure, and sustainable information technology solutions that enable other nonprofit organizations to focus on their missions and serve their clients better, with lower total cost to their organization and the community. In 2020, Impact Makers implemented a mentoring program and helped to create a Security Council to develop best practices for local nonprofits. Some Impact Makers consultants also worked as a part of IT4Causes scrum teams to help local nonprofits navigate through the COVID-19 crisis.

Computers 4 Kids

Computers 4 Kids provides mentoring and technology resources to prepare students for success in the classroom and beyond. In 2020, Impact Makers was able to donate 15 laptops to help ensure all students have access to hardware after school. We also successfully helped C4K with an effort to improve their content management by centralizing online resources for streamlined searchability and maintenance.

Homestretch

Homestretch provides a holistic approach to providing homeless parents with children permanent housing in Northern Virginia. When COVID upended Homestretch’s primary fundraising event, Impact Makers marketing jumped in to help by donating digital marketing expertise and ad purchasing to drive attendance at a virtual event. Homestretch’s virtual annual breakfast had a great turnout online and met its fundraising goal!

Richmond Heritage FCU

Richmond Heritage Federal Credit Union, an African-American owned credit union founded in 1936, is a Richmond institution. Impact Makers enabled Heritage to increase new loan applications by improving their online application experience. IM also embarked on a brand marketing research and campaign project in partnership with the VCU School of Business, conducting customer research and designing fresh marketing messages for Heritage to better connect with new members.
