In the category “IT as Efficiency Driver – Government to Government” the winner was the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles for the Elevated Review Workflow project. The Impact Makers project team leveraged Kanban to enable DMV to achieve the efficiencies that the award recognized. more
National Public Radio (NPR)’s “All Things Considered” featured an in-depth story on health care reform in which they interviewed Impact Makers’ client Sheryl Garland about the Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and the Virginia Coordinated Care program. Impact Makers Principal Consultant Ben Smith is actively supporting the Coordinated Care program and many other efforts that Sheryl is responsible for at the health system. more
Governing, a leading online and print publication for state and local governments, featured an article on the use of Kanban by two of Impact Makers’ clients: the Virginia Department of Corrections (DOC) and the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). The columnist interviewed the IT directors for each agency, Rick Davis with DOC and Dave Burhop with DMV, to learn how project work flow and visibility had improved via Kanban. On May 9, 2012 RichTech held their 17thAnnual Technology Stars Gala with a sold out crowd of more than 600 people in attendance. At the event, Impact Maker’s client the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) received the Technology Innovation Developer Award. DHCD’s win represents the first time a state agency has won a RichTech award. more
