At Impact Makers, we follow a set of shared, core values that reflect who we are and why we do what we do as a mission based, mission driven organization. The 2014 Impact Report highlights the successes of Impact Makers, our clients, and community partners this past year, as reflected in each of our shared values.

Impact Makers contributed more than $312,000 in direct, unrestricted financial support and pro bono management and technology consulting support (over 904 hours) to our community partner organizations in 2014. Since 2006, Impact Makers has invested more than $900,000 in the communities in which we work.

Impact Makers is pleased to announce our recent new hires: Rick Johnston has joined as Principal Consultant and Association Vertical Lead; Eddie McAndrew joined as Senior Consultant; Lisa Myers and Tim Walston, as Lead Consultants; and Lada Lucks as Controller.

Rick Johnston, CAE, Principal Consultant and Association Vertical Lead

Rick will lead Impact Makers’ business development for projects with associations and nonprofits. He has management experience in a variety of nonprofit environments, including CEO of state and regional organizations, vice-president for a national association and consultant for several national and international associations.

Rick was previously with ICF Interactive, formerly Ironworks Consulting, where he helped grow the company before it was acquired by ICFI in 2012. Rick has worked on Web strategy with such clients as the American Cancer Society, American College of Physicians, American Institute of Architects, EDUCAUSE, American Council on Education, School Nutrition Association, ISACA, The Nature Conservancy, PBS, National Wildlife Federation, Discovery Education, Dominion Resources, NASDAQ, and the Veterans Health Administration.

In 2012, she founded DFM Advisory, providing strategic and operational consulting to nonprofit and for-profit organizations.  more

B Lab and the B Corporation community were honored by the Skoll Foundation with an award for social entrepreneurship in 2014. Kikim Media put together this great video.

NASCIO (National Association of State Chief Information Officers) honored the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) as a Finalist in the “Improving State Operations” category for their 2014 State IT Recognition Awards. The award-winning project, OutsideVDOT, was supported by Impact Makers. more

CRN ranked Impact Makers 12th of their 2014 list of the top 150 fastest growing IT solution providers. All the companies on the list had a combined total of revenue of $7.2 billion in 2013 and average two-year growth rate of 102.6%. Impact Makers two-year growth rate was 221.88%.  more

On October 14, 2014, Forbes ran “B Corps Means Being the Change” discussing B Corporations, Cincinnati-based Ingage Partners and Impact Makers. Both Ingage and Impact Makers are management and technology consulting firms that donate profits to nonprofit organizations. In fact, the founders of Ingage Partners started the company after meeting and being inspired by Impact Makers’ unique model. more
